Suspect Accused of Robbing Bank: Jay Edward Carlile Arrested for Alleged Bank Heist

Jay E. Carlile, 81, left us on May 23, 2025, gracefully departing amid the comfort of his loved ones. Born and raised in Denver, this spirited soul graced the halls of East High and George Washington High School before obtaining a BA from Western Colorado University and an MBA from American Management Association in Lake Saranac, New York.

Jay was a nature aficionado, finding solace and exhilaration in activities like skiing, hiking, fishing, and camping. His exceptional skiing skills paved the way for his fruitful collaboration with Olin Ski Company, where he conceptualized, manufactured, tested, demonstrated, and marketed their downhill and cross-country skis. He glided down slopes across the United States and Europe, scaling Colorado's fourteeners and conquerering the Monk, Eiger, and Jungfrau, as well as other Swiss Alpine peaks with a trusted Swiss Mountain Guide.

Marriage in his thirties led him into realms of the automotive industry and stock brokering, but his passion for skiing remained unbroken, enduring until the ripe age of 75.

A dedicated family man and community advocate, Jay tenderly cared for his ailing mother and her pet dog, and supported the students at Western Colorado University with scholarships, while serving on their Board of Directors. He embarked on numerous adventures with his sister, Janet, and his companions Beverly Eastburn, Shultz Greenberg, Kim and Dave Lenk, Matt Griffen, and Lou Hendrickson.

In loving memory of Jay E. Carlile, we survive him through his sister, Janet, his cousins Dexter, Leslie, Mike, and Angie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Jessie C. Carlile, grandparents Ruth, Alex, and Effie, and other loved ones.

Reflecting and celebrating the life of Jay E. Carlile will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery, with the date yet to be announced. For more information, kindly visit Crown Hill Cemetery's website.
