Meet Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (42), who recently engaged in a surprising chat with actor David Oyelowo (47) and director Misan Harriman (born 1977) about Netflix's short film, "The After." Photos from the secret gathering at the Sussexes' Montecito home on November 15 revealed that the event took place in a private house, as reported by People magazine.

This special screening showcased Harriman's directorial debut, and according to Netflix, "The After" delivers an exceptional level of emotional realism, with an authentic portrayal of grief. The story revolves around Dayo, a Londoner who witnesses a harrowing event that drastically alters his life.

In an Instagram post, Harriman shared images from the special event, during which Meghan wore her beloved brown color. The details of her stylish ensemble – a Valentino Garavani spring/summer 2022 blazer, a knitted turtleneck top, and a satin skirt in the same hue – were debriefed by the Daily Mail. The trio sat casually on movable movie chairs for the panel discussion, with Harriman expressing his gratitude for having esteemed figures like Meghan and his film idols witness the project.

Meghan's support for Netflix and Harriman isn’t a light matter. Her production company, Archewell Productions, has entered into an agreement with the giant streaming service. Back in the spring, Meghan and Harry donated school supplies and menstrual products to young women in Nigeria in collaboration with the GEANCO Foundation, which Oyelowo is associated with.

Misan Harriman isn't a stranger to Meghan and Harry's orbit. A renowned photographer, he took the official first birthday portrait of Princess Lilibet, and his work has frequently featured the royal couple. Additionally, Harriman shared his perspectives about the ducal couple and their circumstances with the media. Consequently, he made an appearance in their Netflix series, "Harry & Meghan."

Known for her friendship with Herriman, Meghan has now reciprocated his support by promoting his film. The particulars about the conversation were disclosed in People magazine, marking another exciting milestone in the lives of the Sussexes.
