Supporters of Aue brutally assaulted in parking area

In a worrying incident, fans of FC Erzgebirge Aue were assaulted on their way back from the East Derby in Cottbus. The attack occurred near the Thiendorf exit on a highway rest area. According to reports, around 10 fans of Aue were targeted by approximately 15 to 20 masked individuals. The assailants struck and kicked the Aue fans, stole fan items, and looted a van. The victims sustained minor injuries. The police are yet to make any arrests in connection with the attack. Witnesses are being sought for the investigation. The motives behind the attack are still under investigation. This incident was previously reported by "Sächsische Zeitung" and "Bild". The suspects behind the attack on FC Erzgebirge Aue fans at the highway rest area near Thiendorf have not been publicly identified as of now. Earlier in the day, Aue lost the East Derby to Energie Cottbus with a score of 1:2. Despite the unfortunate turn of events, the football community is rallying together to support the affected fans.
