Support for the 15th humanitarian mission in Ukraine
In a heartwarming display of unity and solidarity, the Humanitarian Aid Bergisch Gladbach e.V. and Humanitarian Aid Overath e.V. have been working together to provide aid to Ukraine since the outbreak of the conflict over three years ago.
Their collaboration has resulted in 15 joint aid transports, with the latest one being the Ford Transit, repaired in Overath, filled with essential supplies in Bergisch Gladbach, and solemnly handed over to Commander Igor Liubinetskyi. The vehicle was received at the Hammermühle by Liubinetskyi, his wife Viktoriia Liubinetska, and his friend Viacheslav Voitsyyhyn.
The Ford Transit, which received a two-year TÜV, will be used to alleviate the suffering of people in Ukraine, as requested by Commander Liubinetskyi due to the dire situation in the Donbass and surrounding villages.
The two associations have also been actively seeking decommissioned fire and ambulance vehicles, vans like Transits, and motorcycles for the frontline.
In a recent town hall meeting, Igor Liubinetskyi thanked the mayor and the citizens of Gladbach for their diverse support. He emphasized that everyone deserves the Order of Merit, which he and the chairmen of the two associations recently received.
The current plan for the 16th aid transport, scheduled for October, involves collecting and preparing necessary supplies, focusing on addressing pressing needs identified on the ground in Ukraine, such as medical aid, winter clothes, food, and hygiene products.
Both organizations are actively calling for donations and volunteer support to ensure the success of this next transport. Monetary donations are sought to purchase medications, hygiene items, food, and power generators.
