Superyacht Sunseeker Ocean 182 - experience its performance in challenging marine conditions during a sea trial in windy, rainy weather

The Sunseeker Ocean 182 is a 60-foot yacht that stands out from its competitors, despite its top-heavy appearance, thanks to its remarkably well-integrated design. This tri-deck version of the Sunseeker Ocean 90 boasts an impressive beam of 23ft 6in, making it wider than the Princess X95 and the Riva 90 Argo.

The yacht's hull, originally designed as a two-deck flybridge boat, has been adapted to accommodate a third deck due to customer requests. The starting price of the Sunseeker Ocean 182 is £7,700,000 (ex. VAT).

Engine choices for the Sunseeker Ocean 182 are all MAN V12s on V-drives, with power options ranging from twin 1,650hp to 2,000hp units. This powerful engine setup allows the yacht to reach an impressive top speed of around 27 knots and a quoted slow speed range of up to 1,800nm.

The Sunseeker Ocean 182's new enclosed upper deck allows the main helm to move up, freeing more space on the main deck. The yacht's fuel capacity is 13,000 litres / 3,434 US GAL, and its water capacity is 1,500 litres / 400 US GAL.

It's worth noting that the Sunseeker Ocean 182 and Ocean 90 share the same hull and drivetrain. The pricing of the Sunseeker Ocean 182 looks better value when considering its volume rather than its length, as it has a Gross Tonnage of 182, setting it apart from 90ft models from rival brands.

The Sunseeker Ocean 182 has a CE classification of Category B, ensuring it meets the necessary safety and construction standards for ocean voyages. However, most people may be unaware of what Gross Tonnage is, as few other yards quote this figure in their literature.

Despite sharing some similarities, the Sunseeker Ocean 182 and Ocean 90 have different model designations due to their length overall (LOA). The Ocean 182 is approximately 60 feet long, while the Ocean 90 is notably larger at about 90 feet. This naming convention is common in the yacht industry, as it allows for easy identification of the yacht's size in the market.

In conclusion, the Sunseeker Ocean 182 offers a unique combination of size, power, and luxury, making it a standout option for discerning buyers in the market for a tri-deck yacht.

The Sunseeker Ocean 182, despite its tri-deck adaptation from a two-deck flybridge boat, boasts an impressive speed of up to 27 knots, thanks to its powerful MAN V12 engines. The yacht's spacious cabin, located on its three decks, can hold up to 13,000 litres of fuel and 1,500 litres of water.

The Sunseeker Ocean 182's design, integrating a new enclosed upper deck, offers more space on the main deck, enhancing its overall performance and aesthetic appeal. This yacht's hull, shared with the Sunseeker Ocean 90, ensures comparable performance and safety at sea.

Despite being 30 feet shorter than the Sunseeker Ocean 90, the Ocean 182 offers better value due to its Gross Tonnage of 182, making it stand out in the yacht market. Its length overall (LOA) of approximately 60 feet assumes a common naming convention in the yacht industry, easily distinguishing it from 90ft models from rival brands.

The Sunseeker Ocean 182, boasting a CE classification of Category B, promises a safe ocean voyage while offering a unique blend of size, power, and luxury, catering to discerning buyers in the market for a tri-deck yacht.
