Superhero film helmed by James Gunn, featuring the Man of Steel, sets to debut on HBO Max in the upcoming week.
In an exciting turn of events, the highly-anticipated movie 'Superman,' directed by James Gunn, is set to release on HBO Max this week. Starting from Friday, September 19, fans can stream the movie on the platform.
'Superman' is a thrilling addition to HBO Max's lineup, promising action, drama, and a star-studded cast. The film, rated PG-13, has already made a splash in theatres, opening on July 11.
The movie features David Corenswet as Superman, with Rachel Brosnahan portraying Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult stepping into the shoes of Lex Luthor. Other notable cast members include Wendell Pierce as editor-in-chief Perry White, Skyler Gisondo as Daily Planet multimedia expert Jimmy Olsen, and Mikaela Hoover as columnist Cat Grant.
The film also introduces an ensemble of metahumans, with Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.

In addition to the standard streaming, HBO Max will also stream a version of 'Superman' using American Sign Language. For those who missed the movie's theatrical debut, 'Superman' will begin streaming on HBO Max on Friday.
The film has been a box office success, earning $353.9 million domestically and $261.2 million internationally, totalling $615.1 million to date. The production budget for 'Superman' was reportedly $225 million, with a global marketing spend of $125 million.
In a notable move, HBO Max will also debut 'Superman' on its linear channel on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. With its release on HBO Max, 'Superman' is set to reach an even wider audience, giving more fans the opportunity to witness this blockbuster movie.
