Super Bowl broadcast streamed on Tubi by Fox Sports for the first time

Fox Sports delivered an unparalleled viewing experience for Super Bowl LIX, with details surrounding the programming for the big game yet to be announced at a later date. The sports broadcaster planned a special coverage "takeover" of the Super Bowl, marking a significant milestone in its history.

One of the highlights of the coverage was the live streaming of the event on Fox Sports' free ad-supported streaming service, Tubi. Tubi reported significant audience growth and recently surpassed 97 million monthly active users, making it an ideal platform for the Super Bowl. The streaming service provided a free, 4K live stream with best-in-class low latency, contributing to Tubi delivering the most-streamed Super Bowl in history with a peak concurrent audience of 15.5 million and an average minute audience of 13.6 million.

Tubi also hosted an exclusive red carpet event for Super Bowl LIX, featuring celebrity host Olivia Culpo. The streaming service launched a shoppable experience as part of its game day programming, reaching over 24 million unique viewers.

In addition to Tubi, Fox Sports coverage of the Super Bowl was available across NFL digital properties, Fox Sports app, Fox.com, Fubo, and Telemundo. Telemundo, part of NBCUniversal, streamed the game as part of the available platforms, providing broader access including to Spanish-speaking audiences.

The primary Fox Sports broadcast team for Super Bowl LIX included play-by-play announcer Joe Davis and analyst Greg Olsen. Tom Brady, serving as Fox’s lead NFL analyst, was also on the call along with Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi as sideline reporters for the network’s top NFL announcing crew.

Super Bowl LIX took place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, 2025, starting at 6:30 p.m. ET. The game featured a thrilling matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
