SUN Behavioral Health Named 2025 KY Community Health Champion

SUN Behavioral Health in Erlanger has been named the 2025 Community Health Champion in Mental Health. The organization was recognized for its innovative strategies that reduce state hospital transfers and ease emergency department burdens.

SUN Behavioral Health specializes in mental health and substance use disorders. It provides unique services and partnerships, working with local school districts to offer therapy and mental health services on school campuses.

The organization was one of 12 winners selected from over 250 nominations across Kentucky. Each regional winner received a $3,000 grant, with the statewide winner, SUN Behavioral Health, receiving a $5,000 grant. The awards, hosted by WellCare of Kentucky at Churchill Downs, honored individuals and organizations that improve health outcomes and support community well-being in the state.

SUN Behavioral Health's commitment to reducing hospital transfers and supporting local schools has earned it the title of 2025 Community Health Champion in Mental Health. With a $5,000 grant, the organization will continue to innovate and improve mental health services in Kentucky.
