It's time to get your boogie shoes on, because on Wednesday, July 30th, the Autostadt Wolfsburg Summer Festival stage is going to be sizzling! While the Autostadt just spilled the beans on Friday, we're here to fill you in!
Gear up for a juice-packed summer from July 4th to August 17th as the festival transforms into one of the hottest party spots in Germany. With 34 jaw-dropping performances from German and international acts, get ready for an unforgettable musical extravaganza!
The stage will be set for a rock 'n' roll hurrah on July 30th. In honor of Bill Haley's 100th birthday and the 70-year anniversary of rock 'n' roll, Bill Haley's Comets will be gracing our presence, taking us on a musical time-trip through Bill's illustrious career.
But that's not all! The birthday boy himself will get some extra support on stage. Peter Kraus, the O.G. of German rock 'n' roll, will join the Comets for a lively performance of his fave classics. "Cheers to you, Bill, for introducing me to rock 'n' roll and fueling my decades-long career! Happy 100th, rock 'n' roll never dies!" Kraus shared excitedly in a press release.
Joining the party will be the original guitarist of the Comets, Bill Turner, and the Comets' original steel guitarist, Pete Davenport. Since 1985, Bill Haley's Comets have kept Bill's music alive, preserving its original '50s energy, flashy outfits, and pure American flair.
While the festival does not explicitly mention a German rock 'n' roll legend joining the festivities on July 30th, other acts on the lineup, such as the Swedish band Mando Diao on August 9th, are worth checking out.
