Summer's cultural event unfolds once more as "Twelfth Night" takes center stage in the Park.

Returning for its 63rd season, Shakespeare in the Park brings free, large-scale productions of William Shakespeare's works to the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The annual event, established in 1962 by Joseph Papp, commences on August 7, 2025, and concludes on September 14, 2025, with the production of 'The Twelfth Night.'

The Delacorte Theater reopens this summer, and texts depict a fantastic lineup for the series. The play, directed by Saheem Ali, tells the story of twins Sebastian and Viola, separated after a shipwreck. The cast includes notable personalities like Bill Camp, Khris Davis, Junior Nyong'o, Lupita Nyong'o, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Moses Sumney, Peter Dinklage, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Sandra Oh.

Located in Central Park, the Delacorte Theater can be accessed through the park entrances at the corner of 81st Street and Central Park West or the corner of 79th Street and 5th Avenue. It is also easily reachable via the B, C, and 6 subway lines, along with several bus lines. For those traveling by car, note that there is no parking in the park.

Since its inception, Shakespeare in the Park has been a cherished summer tradition in New York, offering free admittance to everyone. Tickets for the 2025 season can be obtained through various methods, including in-person distribution at Central Park, in-person lottery at the Public Theater, in-person distribution in the boroughs, digital lottery with TodayTix, and an in-person standby line at Central Park.
