Summer return of Season 3 for the platform: Strange New Worlds

A captivating journey awaits as Paramount+ unveils the teaser trailer for the third season of the critically-acclaimed original series, "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds." The season is set to premiere on the platform this summer, with a fourth season in the works, currently under production in Toronto.

In Season 3, Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, still in command, grapple with the fallout from their harrowing encounter with the Gorn at the conclusion of Season 2. However, new life and civilizations beckon, introducing a formidable villain that will challenge the characters' courage and resilience.

This season promises an intriguing blend of genres, from faith and duty to romance, comedy, and mystery, offering a fresh and exciting take on classic "Star Trek."

Leading the cast are Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, and Martin Quinn, with guest appearances by Rhys Darby, Patton Oswalt, Cillian O'Sullivan, Melanie Scrofano, Carol Kane, and Paul Wesley.

Executive producers for the series include Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Henry Alonso Myers, Aaron Baiers, Dana Horgan, Davy Perez, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Chris Fisher, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth. Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers serve as co-showrunners.

The "Star Trek" franchise on Paramount+ includes the original series "Star Trek: Section 31," the Oscar-winning Michelle Yeoh-led movie, the new "Star Trek: Starfleet Academy" series, the animated series "Star Trek: Lower Decks," the award-winning "Star Trek: Discovery," and the critically-acclaimed "Star Trek: Picard." All seasons of these series are available to stream on the platform.

"Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" will stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., the U.K., Latin America, Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Japan. In Canada, the series will stream on Paramount+, and on SkyShowtime in the Nordics, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Central and Eastern Europe. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
