Get ready for a busy summer of soccer, with a variety of exciting competitions for some of Germany's top players!

After the third-place Nations League match against the French, the season continues for many national team athletes with a grueling finale. The first Club World Cup in the grand new format is set to take place from June 15 to a maximum of July 13 in the States. FC Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund could potentially field up to eleven players in this epic event.

Following the France game, Stuttgart's Nick Woltemade will jet off to Slovakia to join the German U21 team, whose Euro championship kicks off on Wednesday. The remaining half of the 24-man squad, led by national coach Julian Nagelsmann, can look forward to some well-deserved R&R.

While missing out on the Nations League final against Spain, Nagelsmann shies away from any special considerations for Bayern players like captain Joshua Kimmich, new Munich recruit Jonathan Tah, or Borussia Dortmund professionals Felix Nmecha and Waldemar Anton during today's showdown against France at 3 PM (RTL and DAZN).

Nagelsmann: No Club Deals

"Nope, we haven't struck any deals with the clubs," the coach replied when asked about it. "We've already done that before. If there were critical players, we promised to ensure they'd be fine."

He meant Bayern's rising star Jamal Musiala or Real Madrid's Antonio Rüdiger, whom he left out due to injuries, just as Kai Havertz who returned to the Premier League in the late stages of the season with Arsenal FC. "It's not about the Club World Cup alone, but also the upcoming season and World Cup qualifiers," the coach clarified.

Chomping at the Bit for the USA Trip

"I think the guys all have the fitness to play against France and then kick off the Club World Cup," Nagelsmann opined. "I haven't received any texts yet asking for special treatment."

He'll send them back in September, as he won't consider any additional requests then, he asserts. The DFB team's World Cup qualifiers begin in the fall with six games to be played by the end of the year.

Dortmund's Pascal Groß looks forward to the Club World Cup in this colossal new setup involving 32 clubs and a tantalizing prize purse of one billion US dollars: "My mind isn't set on the Club World Cup yet. I'm open to the competition. I'll head to the USA and am curious to see what it'll bring." And first, there's still the France match to conquer.

Enlightening Insights:

  • Notable Players in the 2021 Club World Cup: Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Müller, and Leroy Sané represented Bayern Munich in the 2021 Club World Cup.

France and Germany's top football players will compete in various soccer tours and competitions this summer, with some potentially participating in the Club World Cup in the United States.
