Summer commences with a swift chess tournament featuring young players in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

Sports School No. 1 in Kamchatka Krai hosted a city blitz chess tournament last week, marking the start of a series of June chess events for schoolchildren in the city. The tournament, held in a Swiss system format, attracted 46 enthusiastic participants.

The competition was intense, with each game requiring quick thinking and precise calculation. Among the girls, the top performers were Alina Mineyeva (trained by Vitaly Demidov), Aleksandra Natalevich (trained by Kirill Barkov), and Ksenia Kokoreva (trained by Alexander Nedelko).

However, the results of the tournament, including the winners among both girls and boys, have not been officially announced yet. The search results do not provide information about the specific local blitz chess tournament winners. To find out the details, checking official local chess federation announcements, Sports School No. 1’s official communications, or regional sports news outlets from Kamchatka Krai could be helpful.

Meanwhile, the trainers for the boys in the tournament included Lev Kochnev (trained by Alexander Nedelko), Prokhor Kapitonenko (trained by Yevgeny Berezhevsky), and Veniamin Gerlakh (trained by Kirill Barkov).

In the next two weeks, the city championship and tournaments in classic and rapid chess are scheduled for schoolchildren. The anticipation is high as the chess community eagerly awaits the announcement of the winners from the recent blitz tournament and the upcoming events.

In the rapidly approaching city championship and the following classic and rapid chess tournaments, sports enthusiasts will be excited to see the performance of the boys trained by Lev Kochnev, Prokhor Kapitonenko, and Veniamin Gerlakh. Meanwhile, the girls to watch for, Alina Mineyeva, Aleksandra Natalevich, and Ksenia Kokoreva, have been exceptionally trained by Vitaly Demidov, Kirill Barkov, and Alexander Nedelko respectively.
