York's Ebor Festival: A Showcase of Exciting Horses and Trainers

The Ebor Festival at York is gearing up for an exciting spectacle, with a host of talented horses and trainers set to compete in various races.

In the British EBF & Sir Henry Cecil Galtres Stakes, the spotlight is on Aeolian, trained by Aidan O'Brien. Aeolian, a half-sister to Desert Hero, the 2023 St Leger third, made an impressive debut last month at Newmarket and is tipped to win. Ed Walker is also training Rainbows Edge for the same race, making it a potential battle between the royal runners.

Ed Walker is keeping busy, as he is also training Astrazar and Golden Brown for the Harry's Half Million By Goffs race. Spotlight's tip for this race is Raakeb, trained by him. Dylan Cunha, another trainer in the race, is optimistic about Kamakameleon's chances, but hopes for dry weather as rain isn't ideal for the horse.

The Mews Hotel Ossett EBF Stallions Nursery Handicap sees the tip going to Amazing Journey. Ollie Sangster is training Dublin Bay for this race. Anthelia, a horse that has proven to be outstanding value for money, is another contender. Victory at York would see Anthelia pass the £500,000 mark in earnings.

The British EBF Fillies' Handicap will feature Dance In The Storm, tipped by Spotlight. Ed Bethell is training Rogue Sensation for this race.

Richard Hannon seeks a sixth victory since 2016 in the Harry's Half Million By Goffs race. Adam Ryan is an assistant to Kevin, the trainer of Rikki Tiki Tavi for the same race. Dylan Cunha is also training Lady Mariko for the same race.

The going at York remains good to firm, good in places, with a forecast of a cool, cloudy day and the wind not being as strong as previously. The big race on day two of the Ebor festival is the Yorkshire Oscars, promising another exciting chapter in this year's festival.
