"Sue Storm, a new take, will debut in 'Avengers: Doomsday'"
In a surprising turn of events, director Nia DaCosta has expressed her admiration for the script of her upcoming film, "28 Years Later: The Bone Temple." DaCosta, who has previously directed films like "Candyman" and "The Marvels," considers the script by Alex Garland to be one of the best she has worked with, especially compared to her experiences on her previous projects.
Speaking about the script, DaCosta said, "Alex Garland's script for '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple' is amazing. It offers a solid foundation and creative freedom that I lacked on my previous projects." She noted that with this script, she didn't feel the need to make significant changes, only requesting to add more infected characters, which was her main contribution.
In contrast, DaCosta noted that Candyman and The Marvels suffered from the lack of a "really solid script," which negatively affected the filmmaking process. She felt constrained by Marvel's rigid studio system and the lack of a strong script, limiting her directorial agency. This struggle was not present with "28 Years Later: The Bone Temple," where the script by Garland was a crucial factor in her decision to direct and gave her a sense of creative control absent in her previous films.
Meanwhile, Vanessa Kirby, who plays Sue Storm in the upcoming "Fantastic Four: First Steps," has been studying the effects of near-death experiences on individuals for her role. A new clip from the Toxic Avenger shows Winston learning his health insurance isn't the correct "tier."
Elsewhere, Synnøve Macody Lund, who played the villain Cecilia Pederson in Saw X, was set to return for the canceled eleventh Saw film. The original idea for the film would have been set "30 seconds after Saw X ended." However, no further details about the film or its cancellation have been disclosed.
On the small screen, several new images from the second season of both Fallout and Peacemaker have been released. Eric Blomquist, director of Founder's Day, is the director of the Halloween-set cult horror film Self-Help, which features a young woman infiltrating a costumed "self-actualization community."
Sean Gunn, playing Maxwell Lord in the DCU, does not see the character as a villain and agrees with James Gunn's comment about Maxwell Lord's complexity. Gunn's version of the character will be seen in the upcoming film "Peacemaker." Vanessa Kirby, who plays Sue Storm, believes her character in "Fantastic Four: First Steps" has been permanently altered by her death and resurrection.
In other news, Patrick Melton revealed that there was a difference of opinion about how Saw 11 would be, but no further details about the disagreement have been disclosed. No prior context was provided for De Wanna Wanga or Morning Spoilers. The Toxic Avenger's health insurance being denied also remains a mystery.
