**Wolfgang Borchert Theater Prepares for an Exciting New Season**

The Wolfgang Borchert Theater in Münster is gearing up for an exciting new season, with several changes and new leadership roles aimed at improving and enriching its productions.

Starting from the 2024/25 season, the theater will welcome fresh perspectives with the addition of two new dramaturgs, Franziska Trinkaus and Bastian Boß, to the Schauspiel team. In the realm of opera, Christoph von Bernuth as Operndirektor and Stephanie Twiehaus as Leitende Dramaturgin will take the helm, bringing substantial experience from major German theaters and festivals.

Kevin Barz, known for his expertise in digitalization in theater and opera, will lead a new cross-genre "Digitaltheater" project starting in 2024/25, signalling a push towards innovative, technologically integrated productions.

Intendantin Tanja Weidner, who has been leading the theater since the beginning of last season, stated that theater lives from diversity, experiments, and new viewing habits. The new season will reflect this philosophy, with a focus on digital innovation, artistic leadership refreshment, and strengthened dramaturgy.

Although specific upcoming productions for 2025/26 were not detailed, these structural improvements and new appointments indicate plans to evolve the theater's artistic scope and production quality. For exact titles and dates of performances, checking the theater's official website or season announcements closer to the season start would be necessary.

The Wolfgang Borchert Theater had a successful season, with a record occupancy rate of around 81 percent, corresponding to 28,654 visitors. New productions such as "Kalter Weißer Mann", "Der Teufel und die Diva" and "All das Schöne" achieved occupancy rates of over 90 percent.

In addition to offering high-quality theater experiences, the Wolfgang Borchert Theater aims to offer more than just theater. Improvements to the catering offer and more celebration offers, including new B-premieres, are being developed to make the theater a stronger community space and respite from everyday life.

The theater's website for ticket purchasing is www.wolfgang-borchert-theater.de, and tickets and gift certificates can be purchased via the theater's website during the summer break. A revised and more user-friendly version of the Wolfgang Borchert Theater's homepage is scheduled to go online at the end of August.

The last performance of the season, "Achtsam Morden", was sold out and received standing ovations, ending the season on a high note. The Wolfgang Borchert Theater is planning to expand its offerings to become a stronger community space and respite from everyday life.

The box office for the new season at the Wolfgang Borchert Theater is already open, and Tanja Weidner aims to increase spectator attendance beyond the current 81 percent occupancy rate. The theater has been successful in previous seasons, with a record season reported in another article.

The Wolfgang Borchert Theater also reached out to the community, with another 25 performances taking place as part of the classroom project. A total of 268 performances were played at the theater, including 8 premieres and 11 pieces from previous years. Additionally, 2,900 spectators attended guest performances at external locations.

Offering more complex, highly political, deeply literary stories may not necessarily fill the cash register, but they do fill the hearts, according to Intendantin Tanja Weidner.
