Success at the German Championship for the Black and White Club in Chemnitz
The German Championships for dance couples, held at the majestic Chemnitz City Hall on May 14 and 15, 2025, showcased the nation's finest dance talent. Hosted by TK "Orchidee" Chemnitz, the prestigious event marked the fourth time the city had played host to such a competition, having previously organised three German Championships and one Germany Cup.
Dance couples from across the republic flocked to Chemnitz for the two-day event, which included the Junior II German Championship combination and the German Vice Championship in 10 dances. A total of 21 dance pairs competed in the youth combination, with some impressive performances from newcomers and seasoned dancers alike.
One such newcomer was the SWC pair Anton & Viktoria Tsarenko, who have only been dancing with the Pforzheim team for a month. Despite their brief tenure, they managed to secure a commendable second place in the youth combination. The Pforzheim Schwarz-Weiß-Club also claimed the title of German Vice Champion in 10 dances with the pair Vladyslav Tsykhanovskyi and Veronika Tsikhanovska.
Vladyslav Tsykhanovskyi and Veronika Tsikhanovska, both representing the Pforzheim Schwarz-Weiß-Club, delivered a stellar performance, earning them the title of German Vice Champions. The club's success was further cemented when Tim Gordon & Luisa Huber, also from Pforzheim, finished third in the Junior II German Championship combination. This achievement was particularly noteworthy as it marked their first year in the Junior II age group.
The TK "Orchidee" Chemnitz demonstrated exceptional preparation and organisation for the dance championships, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants. Seven dance pairs from the Baden-Württemberg dance sport association took part in the youth combination, adding to the event's competitive spirit.
While the German Champion in the youth combination was not explicitly stated in the available sources, it is worth noting that the WDSF World Championship Youth 10 Dance was held in Bremen, Germany, on June 8, 2025. To obtain the precise names of the current German youth combination dance champions, it would be advisable to consult the official WDSF (World DanceSport Federation) results page or the German DanceSport Federation’s official communication following the Bremen 2025 event.
Ruslan Fedesenko & Dzhulieta Petrosian, who have only been dancing together for four weeks, placed a respectable sixth in the youth combination, promising a bright future for the duo. The German Championships for dance couples in Chemnitz was indeed a memorable event, showcasing the passion, skill, and dedication of Germany's dance community.
Sports enthusiasts would have been excited to witness the impressive performances at the German Vice Championship in 10 dances, which was part of the two-day dance championships in Chemnitz.
