The design of the project draws from exhaustive baseline data, a study of 324 sites in 12 districts, and feedback obtained from about 90,000 tourists. The project also enjoys the support of the Union Ministry of Tourism, the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban affairs, and Niti Ayog for Himachal Pradesh's tourism development.
