Submitted Duo of Public Spaces Initiatives by Kolima
In a significant development for urban planning in Russia, Magadan Oblast has submitted two project applications for the improvement of public spaces in the All-Russian contest for creating a comfortable urban environment. The contest, which is a nationwide initiative aimed at shaping high-quality urban environments, will announce its results at the All-Russian forum "Development of Small Towns and Historical Settlements" in Kazan.
The two projects from Magadan Oblast are "Maganadan Time" and "Golden Heart of the North." "Maganadan Time" is a project application for the improvement of public spaces located on Karl Marx Prospect in Magadan city, while "Golden Heart of the North" is situated on Lenin Street, 6-16 in Susuman city.
The All-Russian forum, focused on the development of small towns and historical settlements, serves as the venue for announcing the results of the contest. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, who thanked the Ministry of Construction of Russia and all the experts involved for their organisation and evaluation.
Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities of Russia, Irek Fayzullin, attended the meeting and participated in the All-Russian competition for creating a comfortable urban environment in the Far Eastern district. Representatives from federal authorities, legislative assemblies, and experts in architecture and urban planning also participated in the discussion.
Projects from the main contest and a special nomination for the Far Eastern Federal District were evaluated during the meeting. More high-quality projects were presented by this year's participants, indicating a development of competencies in creating comfortable urban environments.
