Stuttgart's Semester Kicks Off with Oktoberfest-Inspired Celebrations for All
The University of Stuttgart's semester commences on October 1st, bringing a mix of academic pursuits and festive events. Meanwhile, the Cannstatter Volksfest, starting on October 6th, caters to various groups with special provisions for students, children, and the elderly.
Students can kickstart their celebrations at the Wasenwirt tent on October 5th, enjoying favorable prices. For younger attendees, the Wasen offers children's activities such as stilt-walkers, balloon artists, glitter tattoos, and rides from 2 pm to 6 pm every day.
The 'Stille Not Stuttgart' association ensures that elderly residents who cannot afford the Volksfest can still participate. On October 6th, they host events in Sonja Merz's tent. Similarly, the association inviting elderly people to the Almhütte Royal provides exclusive parties with separate boxes and a premium lounge called Royal 1850.
Family days on the Wasen every Wednesday, on October 1st and 8th, offer discounted prices and children's programs.
