Stuttgart's famous celebrity discovered a way into the local wine bar.
In the heart of Stuttgart, the traditional wine tavern Frohlich has become a secret haven for stars. Recently, the Guns N' Roses frontman, Axl Rose, paid a visit to the cozy establishment, co-owned by VfB supervisory board chairman Alexander Wehrle and Jens Zimmermann, chairman of the association Pro Stuttgart.
Despite being a renowned figure in the music industry, Axl Rose showed no signs of star allure during his visit. He was spotted at the Uhu Bar before making his way to Frohlich, reportedly seeking a hearty meal.
Upon arriving at Frohlich, Axl Rose was warmly received. However, the landlady, Mancika Kohler-Kešinovic, was busy attending to other guests and was unable to take a photo with him. Instead, he got a selfie with Kayla Hama, the bartender.
The tavern, known for its warm wooden tone in the dining room and its renowned roast pork, was fully booked when Axl Rose arrived. There were no free places outside on the street or in the courtyard. Despite his celebrity status, Axl Rose chose to dine among the other guests, blending in seamlessly.
Interestingly, Axl Rose had announced his visit in advance and requested confidentiality. However, he declined an offer to close the restaurant for a private event, preferring to enjoy the evening among the public.
Mick Hucknall of Simply Red and Giovanni Zarrella are among the other celebrities who have graced the tavern with their presence. It seems that Frohlich has become a favourite spot for those seeking a taste of traditional Swabian cuisine and a touch of old-world charm.
Despite his brief stay, Axl Rose left an indelible mark on the tavern, adding another chapter to its rich history and cementing its status as a secret tip for stars.
Axl Rose's visit to Frohlich, a traditional tavern in Stuttgart known for its celebrity patronage, was a testament to his preference for down-to-earth entertainment. Amidst pop-culture icons like Mick Hucknall and Giovanni Zarrella, Axl Rose blended in seamlessly, choosing to dine alongside ordinary patrons and even taking a selfie with a bartender, Kayla Hama.
