- Stunning Award-Winning Nature Photography: Captivating Imagery Worth Admiring
For over two decades, the esteemed "Glanzlichter of Nature Photography" competition has celebrated the finest animal and nature snapshots annually. This year, a colossal 1,000 photographers from 35 countries vied for excellence, submitting a whopping 22,693 entries. The discerning jury puts a premium on technical mastery but places greater importance on the narratives these images convey. In recognition of their accomplishment, they award a grand prize in eight captivating categories, showcasing the remarkable worlds of birds, mammals, relic ice, and young felines.
The 16-year-old prodigy Julius Kortlepel bags the Junior Prize with his breathtaking depiction of a mountain wagtail in a shimmering cascade (Image 4). The overall champion of this prestigious competition is Norwegian Pål Hermansen, whose awe-inspiring drone shot of a grizzly scene on the frozen expanse of Svalbard (Image 8) earns him the highest accolade.
Following the awards ceremony on May 2nd during the International Nature Photography Days in Fürstenfeldbruck, an exhibition featuring these extraordinary photographs will embark on a tour across Germany.
