Stunned spectators demand clarification following ARD's serial mishap

In the latest episode of the popular ARD series "In All Friendship," viewers noticed a noticeable mistake: the absence of Dr. Roland Heilmann's meta glasses in the operating room. Thomas Rühmann, who plays the senior surgeon, had been wearing glasses for work and reading purposes throughout the series, particularly in previous episodes where he faced major eye problems.

The production team acknowledged the blunder, with ARD issuing a statement expressing self-criticism about the incident. They admitted responsibility for the oversight, but did not identify any individual responsible for the forgetting of Dr. Roland Heilmann's glasses.

In the second statement, ARD reiterated their commitment to preventing similar mistakes in the future. They used the phrase "Unfortunately, the slip-up slipped in" to express their regret.

Facebook was flooded with comments about the absence of Dr. Roland Heilmann's glasses, with viewers expressing their anger online. One viewer wrote, "Dr. Roland Heilmann's missing glasses were noticeable right from the start." Another mockingly commented, "I'd love to know what kind of miracle glasses Herr Heilmann was wearing last week that suddenly made him see perfectly."

The production team claimed that no single person was to blame for the forgetting of Dr. Roland Heilmann's glasses. They did not provide an explanation for how the forgetting occurred.

The mistake was particularly significant as it occurred in episode 1106 titled "Von Igeln und Mäusen," which aired shortly before September 21, 2025. In this episode, there was no trace of Dr. Roland Heilmann's eyewear.

ARD promised that such a mistake will not happen again. They stated that Dr. Roland Heilmann's glasses are essential for his work and reading, and their absence was a noticeable oversight. The production team is working to ensure that such mistakes do not occur in future episodes.
