Football Transfer Shenanigans at Bayern Munich

Stunned Kimmich Warns Caution on Sane's Skills

Cincinnati (dpa) - Germany captain Joshua Kimmich is ringing the alarm bells for Bayern Munich's attack following the failed signing of Florian Wirtz and the departures of Leroy Sané and Thomas Müller. In a chat at Cincinnati's TQL Stadium, Kimmich said, "Yeah, man, we gotta move now. Flo ain't coming, Leroy's skedaddled, and Thomas is hitting the road. We ain't happy about it."

The Departure of Wirtz and Müller

As for Wirtz (22), he's decided to swap Bayer Leverkusen for Liverpool, much to the chagrin of Bayern's bosses. Müller's contract extension is merely a brief pause till the club's World Cup tour in the USA, after which he's outta there after 25 years. Mathys Tel (20), reportedly, is edging closer to a permanent transfer to Tottenham Hotspur following his loan stint.

Coach Vincent Kompany wants a breather from transfer shenanigans for now. "Don't sweat it, man. We ain't gotta fix it right now, but post-tourney," said the Belgian at the press conference.

Leroy (29) is sailing off to Galatasaray Istanbul amid a three-year contract. Yet, he'll play up to four matches at the World Cup before his continued service expires. Kimmich calls it a "real wild card" situation.

Kompany's Plans for Sané

Before the tussle against Auckland, Kompany expressed his desire to leverage Sané's talents. "Leroy's a gem, man. He can help us fins such a pickle. He's still our fella." He hinted that they could've done without any tragedy upfront. As Jamal Musiala recovers from a nasty muscle injury, Kompany is favoring a gradual reintegration into the first team. "Jamal needs time to sorta get back in the groove. Leroy might be our savior for the first four games," Kompany added.

Kimmich wasn't too taken aback by Sané's exit from Bayern after five years. "I'd have to say the move seemed fishy, but not shocking," said Kimmich. On the other hand, Sané's decision to join Galatasaray was a curveball. "I ain't kiddin'–Leroy moving to Turkey, man? That's a twist!" With Galatasaray dangling a significantly higher paycheck for the next three years than Bayern was ready to offer for a contract extension, Sané made his choice.

Bayern's Transfer Pursuits

In light of the departures, Bayern's got its eye on fresh talent like Nico Williams, Rafael Leao, and Bradley Barcola. It's all part of their ambitious strategy to overhaul their frontline[1][2]. Additionally, they're looking to raise €165 million through player sales to fund these ambitious acquisitions. Key players like Kim Min-jae, Kingsley Coman, and Joao Palhinha are on the block. Fringe players and underachievers might also see coldShoulder[1].

Moreover, after missing out on Wirtz, Bayern seems to have changed its transfer strategy. They're not keen on Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, a claim that indicates a shift in priorities[5]. The Bavarians are keeping their cards close to their chest, maneuvering to reshape their attacking lineup with a finesse they're known for.
