Despite their hectic touring schedule, Die Amigos don't see it as a stressful regimen, according to them. "What could possibly be stressful? If the backstage door is jammed, then that's a disaster," quipped Bernd Ulrich. For them, stress doesn't come into the picture. "If you have to choose between Black Forest cake and apple pie, then you can get tense, but not from what we do. Because that's enjoyable."
However, they meticulously plan their performances, ensuring every detail is in place. For instance, they would never serenade audiences on Mallorca, the brothers confirm. Despite being offered the opportunity, they've declined. "We've also been propositioned to embark on a cruise. No, we won't be sailing." The reason: Their concalls in Germany are already packed.
"We have enough on our plates. We routinely turn down scores of invitations because we cap our performances at around 70-80 shows annually," Bernd Ulrich elaborated. Their recipe for success, as Karl-Heinz put it, "is to stay cool, honest, fair, and maintain cordial relationships with everyone. We're just like the crowd."
