Studio album "Reliance" from Soen set for release in January
Swedish-based prog metallers Soen have announced that they will be releasing their latest studio album, Reliance, on January 16, 2025, via Silver Lining Music. The band will also embark on a European tour in 2025, joining forces with Dark Tranquillity, Equilibrium, and Iotunn on the Ultima Ratio Fest Tour.
The album, Reliance, will be available on 12" vinyl, CD, digital formats, and special D2C products and bundles. Pre-order for Reliance is now available. The band has also shared a new video for the powerfully emotive new single Primal.
In an interview, lead vocalist Joel Ekelöf shared that Primal encourages people to find their fire again, reconnect with passion, and take steps out of darkness together. Drummer Martin Lopez explained that Primal is heavy, straight to the point, and contains a hopeful chorus. The song reflects frustration with the world's corruption, division, and technology's grip.
The specific tour dates for the Ultima Ratio Fest 2025 have not been provided, but the band will perform at various locations throughout Europe during September and October. The tour dates for the Ultima Ratio Fest 2025 have been provided and include Sep 24 in Cologne, Sep 25 in Pratteln, Sep 26 in Munich, Sep 27 in ITA Trezzo sull'Adda, Sep 28 in Stuttgart, Sep 29 in NED Utrecht, Oct 1 in Paris, Oct 2 in BEL Antwerp, Oct 3 in GER Leipzig, Oct 4 in GER Osnabrück, Oct 5 in GER Berlin, Oct 6 in CZE Prague, Oct 7 in HUN Budapest, Oct 8 in POL Wrocław, Oct 9 in AUT Linz, Oct 10 in GER Saarbrücken, Oct 11 in GER Geiselwind, and Oct 12 in GER Hannover.
