Students in Omsk were taught about the salary of Russian State Duma deputies.
Omsk State University Hosts Aleksei Didenko, Regional Policy Chief
Aleksei Didenko, the sharp-tongued head of the State Duma's regional policy committee, recently touched down in Omsk Oblast for a working visit.
During his campus discussion, a keen student questioned Didenko about anticipated salaries. Didenko's direct response? A hefty sum of 480,000 rubles, a figure he deemed "good"—maybe even a tad over the top.
Expressing his take, Didenko said, "Bag that salary, but brace yourself! Gather around 70,000 voter signatures, register as a candidate, and victory's yours. Knock on the door of power through sheer determination and faith in yourself!"
But it wasn't all chit-chat and politicking; Didenko also held a hard-hitting working meeting with Alexander Artemov, speaker of Omsk's regional legislature. Their agenda? Discussing local self-government reforms, including the amendments to the current principles governing this critical aspect of Omsk Oblast.
Notably, the Omsk regional parliament has already endorsed the concept of municipal reform, aimed at revamping the organizational strategy for local self-government. Affirmative shifts are already underway across Omsk Oblast, with 28 out of a total 32 districts already transitioning to a streamlined model of self-government.
"I'm not sure if the upcoming changes in policy-and-legislation, particularly the local self-government reforms, will significantly impact general-news topics beyond Omsk Oblast."
"The ongoing discussions about policy-and-legislation in politics, such as the municipal reform and Alexei Didenko's visit, may have a profound impact on the future of Omsk State University and its students."
