Struggling Wins Remain Evasive for Nine Top Contenders as Time Nears to Wind Down in the 2025 Campaign

In the world of golf, several high-profile players have put on impressive performances this year, yet remain winless. Among them are Xander Schauffele, Tommy Fleetwood, Jordan Spieth, and Rickie Fowler.

Xander Schauffele, recovering from a rib injury, has had a challenging season. His best finish this year was a T7 at The Open Championship, but he hasn't managed a win. His putting and driving stats have taken a hit, impacting his overall results, despite his evident skill.

Tommy Fleetwood, another prominent name, has come close to landing a maiden PGA Tour title, but has yet to win in 2025. Across 17 starts on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, he has only missed one cut and been outside of the top-25 on three occasions. The mental hurdle seems to be holding him back from sealing a victory.

Jordan Spieth is in a transition year due to wrist injury recovery. He has shown flashes of his past brilliance but has not won in 2025. Spieth is currently just inside the FedExCup standings bubble, fighting to get into signature events and comeback form.

Rickie Fowler, a well-known name, is struggling with his FedExCup standing, currently at 48th, and has not won a tournament this season.

While these golfers are struggling, there have been some standout performances elsewhere. For instance, in 2024, Ruoning Yin won three LPGA Tour titles, and in 2023, she clinched her maiden Major title at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. However, she has struggled in the opening months of 2025, without a top-10 finish in her first seven starts.

On a positive note, Rory McIlroy has three titles this year, including a Green Jacket at The Masters, completing the career Grand Slam. Scottie Scheffler, the current Men's World No.1, has won four titles this year, including two Majors.

As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see if these struggling stars can turn their fortunes around and secure that elusive tournament victory.

Xander Schauffele, even with his evident skill, hasn't been able to secure a win in golf this year, despite having a promising finish at The Open Championship.

Tommy Fleetwood, in spite of his consistent performances on both the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, hasn't managed to win a tournament yet in 2025.
