Star Quarterback Daniel Jones of the Giants could once again be sidelined due to an injury, casting doubt on his availability for their Week 15 matchup against the Browns.

Struggling quarterback Daniel Jones of the Giants potentially sidelined for Week 15 match against Browns due to recent injury.

The New York Giants are gearing up for a crucial match against the Cleveland Browns, but uncertainty surrounds their starting quarterback, Daniel Jones.

As of now, Jones is dealing with a sprained ankle, an injury he sustained during the Giants' 26-7 loss against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. His status for Sunday night's Week 15 game against the Browns is doubtful.

If Jones is unable to play, Colt McCoy is expected to take the reins. McCoy, who has been with the Giants since 2014, showed promising form in Jones' one-game hiatus, managing the game well against the Seattle Seahawks.

Despite facing one of the worst units in football, the Seattle defense, McCoy minimized momentum-swinging mistakes, completing 11-of-21 passes for 127 yards.

The Browns' defense, while not as porous as Seattle's, ranks 27th in points allowed and 19th in total yards yielded.

Meanwhile, the Giants' opponents for the week, the Cleveland Browns, have been in fine form, boasting a 9-4 record.

In the NFC East standings, the Washington Football Team currently leads the Giants by a game. The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys are close behind.

The Giants' four-game winning streak was snapped in their loss to the Cardinals, dropping them to second place in the division.

It's important to note that, as of late August 2025, there is no specific or current public report of Daniel Jones being injured or sidelined for upcoming games, including Week 15 against the Browns. However, his injury status will likely be clarified closer to the game date.

Regardless of who takes the field for the Giants, the team will be looking to bounce back and secure a much-needed victory against the Browns.
