Severe Tractor Accident in Tarrenz, Austria
A tragic incident occurred on Sunday evening in Tarrenz, a small town located in the Imst district of Austria. According to reports, a severe tractor accident took place on the L246 Obtarrenzer Straße, resulting in the temporary closure of the road for rescue and recovery operations.
The tractor involved in the accident was an oldtimer or vintage tractor. As the vehicle navigated a curve, the driver lost control, causing the tractor to veer onto the roadside and roll over the adjacent slope.
Two passengers on the tractor were 15-year-old and 16-year-old Austrians. One of them, a 17-year-old, was unsecured on a wooden loading platform attached to the rear of the tractor. This individual sustained serious injuries and had to be airlifted to the hospital.
Three other occupants were also taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity. The driver of the tractor was a 16-year-old Austrian.
The police forces from Imst and Nassereith, who were involved at the scene during rescue operations, are currently investigating the exact cause of the accident. The L246 in Tyrol, Austria, remains closed as the investigation continues.
