Strong recovery momentum remains for TSV Ratzenried
In the ongoing 2025/2026 season of the Football District League A2, TSV Ratzenried is making waves with their impressive performances. The team currently tops the league table, having started the season with back-to-back wins.
In their district cup round, TSV Ratzenried defeated SGM Waltershofen/Immenried/Gebrazhofen II with an emphatic 8-0 scoreline. They followed this up with a 4-0 win against SV Wolfegg. Dennis Marc Mihaljevic, Dominik Dieing, Elias Abler, and Luca Karg were among the goal scorers in these matches.
Meanwhile, SG Argental, under the guidance of coach Simon Stiller, also secured their first season win, defeating SV Eglofs 2:1. Christoph Kugel and Marius Spaeth were the goal scorers for SG Argental in this match.
The league is reported to be stronger this year, according to SG Argental's coach, Simon Stiller, who previously worked at SV Haslach. Stiller also praised the behaviour of SV Wolfegg for accommodating them due to some players being away that weekend.
Other teams in the league have also started their campaigns. TSV Schlachters, SGM Beuren/Rohrdorf, FC Scheidegg and TSV Neukirch, SGM Achberg/Neuravensburg/Hergensweiler, SG Kißlegg, FC Isny, and FC Wangen II, as well as SV Amtzell and SpVgg Lindau, have all played their first matches of the season.
Notably, FC Isny achieved Pokal revenge against FC Wangen II, scoring the second-highest number of goals last weekend.
Despite their strong start, TSV Ratzenried has faced some challenges. The team has experienced a significant exodus of players compared to the previous season. However, they seem to be coping well, with Bruno Müller at the helm as their coach.
SG Argental, on the other hand, is aiming for a top-five finish in the season, according to coach Simon Stiller. They have eleven days off until their next game against SV Wolfegg on Thursday, 28th August.
