Spanish Striker Alvaro Morata Joins Como in Serie A
Alvaro Morata has transferred to Como for the 2025/26 season, marking a significant move for the club in Serie A. The Spanish international striker will join Como on an initial season-long loan from AC Milan, with an obligation for Como to make the move permanent if certain conditions are met.
Before joining Como, Morata has played for some of Europe's top clubs, including Real Madrid, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, and Chelsea. His most recent club was Atlético Madrid, before signing a four-year deal with AC Milan. However, his loan to Galatasaray was cut short to facilitate this transfer.
Morata's career has been marked by numerous trophies, including multiple league titles in Italy and Spain, the UEFA Europa League, and various domestic cups. Although a comprehensive list of his achievements is not available, his victories are well-known in the football world.
Cesc Fabregas, Como's coach, sees Morata's arrival as a major signing aligned with a project of ambition. Fabregas has admired Morata for many years and appreciates his playing style and demeanor. Morata himself expressed excitement about joining Como and promised to give 200% effort in every training session and match at Como.
The new Serie A season starts next week, and Como's first match of the new season is a home game against Lazio on August 24. Morata's presence is expected to boost the team's morale and performance, as he is known for his ability to deliver in the biggest moments and for being a team player who lifts everyone around him.
With Morata on board, Como is aiming to improve its status in Serie A and challenge for higher honours. The club and its fans are eagerly anticipating the start of the new season and the contributions that Morata will make to the team.
