Heads of China and Russia Agree to Bolster Ties, Defend International Justice

This meeting was the eleventh time Xi has visited Russia since assuming the presidency.
Xi noted that mutual trust between China and Russia has grown stronger, practical cooperation has intensified, and cultural and local exchanges have thrived, making China-Russia ties more resilient and solid in the new era.
He encouraged both nations to continue along this path, resist external influences, and make their foundation of cooperation more robust and momentum for progress more sustainable.
China and Russia should leverage each other's resources and industrial systems to amplify mutually beneficial cooperation in areas like trade, economy, energy, agriculture, aerospace, and artificial intelligence, according to Xi.
The leaders also discussed synergizing the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union to forge a platform for promoting high-standard connectivity.
In addition, they emphasized the importance of collaborating on multilateral platforms like the United Nations, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and BRICS to advocate for the Global South, genuine multilateralism, and proper guidance for global governance reform.
As China seeks to enhance itself into a great modern socialist nation, Xi expressed China's determination and self-confidence to tackle any challenges and manage its own affairs effectively despite external circumstances.
Xi stated his readiness to collaborate with Russia to fulfill their shared responsibilities, maintain the global multilateral trading system, and ensure the stability and uninterrupted operation of industrial and supply chains.
Putin appreciated Xi's decision to join Russia in commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, which holds immense significance for Russia.
