Strengthening Collaboration with Afghanistan for Joint Endeavors (Prime Minister's Plan)

VIBRANT PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Grips attention, calling for intensified cooperation with Afghanistan and a ban on the misuse of Afghan soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan

In a fiery address at Peshawar, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made bold declarations, warning of the imminent danger posed by Indian proxies using Afghan territory to carry out nefarious activities against Pakistan.

Joining the Prime Minister on this high-profile visit were Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and a slew of federal cabinet members including Defence, Interior, Information, and Kashmir & GB Affairs.

During the Grand Jirga, a grand assembly of eminent tribal leaders hailing from all corners of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering commitment to eradicating the lurking shadow of an Indian-sponsored terrorist network named "Fitna-ul-Khawarij." He further applauded the valiant spirits of the local populace, whose selfless sacrifices have left an indelible mark in the book of our national history, in the pursuit of peace.

"With unwavering courage, resilience, and an indomitable spirit, the Pakhtun people stand as a beacon of courage against extremist ideologies," the Prime Minister declared, urging the tribal elders to stand united in their collective mission to expose and eradicate the pernicious influence of extremist beliefs.

Our security forces, led by the valiant Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps, police, and other law enforcement agencies, have displayed unparalleled tenacity and selflessness in their tireless efforts to maintain peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Prime Minister paid tribute to their services and vowed that all necessary measures would be taken to safeguard the tranquility of this region.

He also addressed the burgeoning youth of the province, calling on them to play a proactive role in fostering national unity, development, and stability.

The assembled tribal elders extended their heartfelt appreciation for the initiative, hailing the leadership of both the Prime Minister and the COAS, and expressing strong support for our armed forces, particularly in their successful execution of Operation Bunya-numMarsoos.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister paid his respects to the fallen heroes at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada in Peshawar Cantonment, where he was joined by the COAS and the Corps Commander Peshawar.

Amidst the tumultuous geopolitical landscape, Pakistan stands firm in its resolve to ensure its sovereignty, maintain peace, and counter the increasing threat of terrorism. Pakistan remains vigilant and willing to respond to any escalation of hostilities as it continues to face the challenges posed by neighboring India.

Additional acknowledgments of Pakistan's counter-terrorism efforts have come from the international community, most notably through its appointment as vice chair of the UN Security Council's Counter-Terrorism Committee[3]. Furthermore, China has demonstrated its support for Pakistan's firm counter-terrorism stance, understanding the impact of cross-border conflicts[2].

Recent tensions between Pakistan and India have led to both nations taking aggressive actions, with India engaging in "Operation Sindoor" targeting alleged terrorist infrastructure and Pakistan responding with "Operation Bunyanun Marsoos" against sites accused of fomenting terrorism[5]. Pakistan continues to seek a ceasefire with India, but its resolve remains unshaken, ready to defend its territory with determination.
