Streets of Moscow to Undergo Closures on April 29th

Say adieu to smooth sailing on several Moscow streets on April 29 from 16:30 to 19:00. Projected Road No. 3502, Shosseynyy Proyezd, Zemlyanoy Val Street, Marxistskaya Street, Sadovaya-Chernogryazskaya Street, Sadovaya-Spasskaya Street, Sadovaya-Karetnyy Street, Bolshaya Sadovaya Street, Sadovaya-Kudrinskya Street, and more will be shut down. Add Volgogradsky Prospekt, sections of the Garden Ring, Taganskaya Square, Novinsky Boulevard, Mayakovsky Tunnel, and Oruzheynyy Pereulok to your avoid-list too. Pedestrian crossings on some of these streets will also be off-limits during the closure period.

Keep an eye out for more closures as Okhotnyy Ryad, Balchug, Bolshaya Nikitskaya, Bolotnaya, Sadovnicheskaya, Solyanka, Petrovka Streets, some embankments, and certain underground pedestrian crossings might follow suit.

But don't worry, there's a bit of good news: from 16:30, two-way traffic will be arranged on portions of Taganskaya Street, Mayakovsky Pereulok, Marxistsky Pereulok, and a part of Alexander Solzhenitsyn Street. From 22:30, Serafimovich Street, Bolshaya Polyanka, Novy Arbat, Vozdvizhenka, Mokhovaya, Sadovaya-Kudrinskaya, Bolshaya Sadovaya, Sadovaya-Triumfalnaya, Sadovaya-Karetnyy, 1st and 2nd Brestskie Streets will return to regular traffic after the disruption.

Unfortunately, the city of Krasnodar has decided not to stage a Victory Day parade due to health concerns for participants. Tverskaya Street, 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya, and Mokhovaya Streets will be affected from 17:30 until the event's end, along with Okhotnyy Ryad, Balchug, Bolshaya Nikitskaya, Bolotnaya, Sadovnicheskaya, Solyanka, Petrovka Streets, and various embankments.

Just a reminder, a concert on Red Square on May 9 has been scrapped due to Victory Day festivities. Moreover, journalists covering the Victory Day parade have been prohibited from using banners, flags, and balloons.
