Streamlining e-voting enrollment for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) is being advocated for.
Citizens living abroad can now enroll for internet voting, allowing them to exercise their right to vote remotely until May 12, 12 PM, before the midterm national elections on May 12.
During a radio interview, Comelec Chair George Garcia emphasized the convenience these changes would bring to voters, enabling them to cast their ballots through the comfort of their homes without needing to travel to embassies or consulates.
"You can enroll in as little as five minutes! In just two minutes, you can cast your vote! I encourage you to take advantage of this online enrollment option, especially for our overseas voters. They can vote for the senators and party-list representatives," Garcia said.

Online voting began on April 13, 2025, boasting the commission's debut of the Online Voting and Counting System (OVCS) worldwide.
Garcia also reported an anticipated 54,575 overseas voters registered for the 2025 midterm elections.
Voters have until 7 PM on May 12 to cast their ballots online or in person.
