Streamlining Administrative Processes: Recommendations from Federal Agencies

The federal government is taking significant steps to streamline bureaucracy, as reported earlier. The Ministry of Digital and State Modernization, tasked with improving online citizen services and reducing bureaucracy, is at the forefront of these efforts.

According to a spokesperson for the ministry, they are currently evaluating the responses from federal ministries regarding relief projects aimed at reducing bureaucracy. The deadline for these submissions was set for September 15, as urged by Digital Minister Karsten Wildberger earlier in August.

The relief measures, still under discussion, are being initiated following Wildberger's push for a reduction in bureaucracy in federal ministries. The focus of a scheduled cabinet meeting in October will be on deregulation and de-bureaucratization, according to ministry sources.

This October meeting will be attended by key figures involved in the ongoing inter-ministerial coordination and conflicts over tasks and budgets aiming at streamlining bureaucracy. These include Economics Minister Katherina Reiche (CDU), Research Minister Dorothee Bär (CSU), Digital Minister Karsten Wildberger (CDU), Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil (SPD), and the Chancellor.

The relief projects to reduce bureaucracy are currently being discussed at the cabinet meeting, but no specific details have been disclosed. The spokesperson did not provide specific details about the relief projects, citing internal government consultations.

The Ministry of Digital and State Modernization is one of the federal ministries working on these relief projects. However, the exact nature and scope of the projects remain undisclosed, as previously stated.

A cabinet meeting in October is expected to provide clearer details about these relief projects aimed at reducing bureaucracy. Until then, the federal government remains committed to working on important relief measures to streamline bureaucracy and improve online services for citizens.
