Streaming Platform Release for Epic Drama "Hari Hara Veera Mallu" featuring Pawan Kalyan: Learn When and Where to Enjoy This Period Spectacle Online
The period action drama, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, directed by Krish and Jyothi Krisna, was released in theatres on July 24, 2025, and is now available to stream on Prime Video from August 20. The movie, starring Pawan Kalyan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, and Bobby Deol, among others, has been met with a mixed response from critics and audiences.
The film, set in the 17th century, revolves around a fictional character, Veera Mallu, who rebels against the Mughal army and empire. Aurangzeb (Bobby Deol) rules the Lal Qila (Red Fort) in the movie.
The movie's visual effects and computer-generated imagery (VFX and CGI) have been the main points of criticism. With over 4,400 CGI/VFX shots, some visual effects were called out as inconsistent and below expectations. Despite efforts to address these concerns through post-release edits, a few substandard shots still attracted attention.
However, the directors and makers have defended the movie, emphasizing that the VFX issues were minor relative to the entire production and that the film performed well commercially despite the criticism. The screenplay, on the other hand, was not broadly considered poor; rather, it was mostly free from negative critique in that regard.
The first instalment of the movie, Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 - Sword vs Spirit, teases a face-off between Pawan Kalyan and Bobby Deol. The second part, Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 2 - Battlefield, will show their epic battle.
The movie was released in multiple languages including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Academy Award and Golden Globe winner MM Keeravani composed the music of the movie, adding to its appeal.
