Streaming platform Prime Video teams up with RTL Deutschland for a German reinterpretation of the cult classic series.
Prime Video and RTL have joined forces to bring back a beloved cult brand with the German adaptation of the popular US format 'Gladiators'. Christoph Schneider, Country Director Prime Video Germany, announced the collaboration, stating that the new presentation of 'Gladiators - The Show of the Giants' will be more intense and energetic, while retaining everything that makes Gladiators what it is.
The executive producers for RTL in the production of 'Gladiators - The Show of the Giants' are Sabine Stark, Thorsten Gieselmann, and Sandra Waechtershäuser, with Markus Kuettner serving as the Entertainment Chief. RTL Studios is producing the German adaptation.
Contestants on 'Gladiators - The Show of the Giants' will compete against each other and against a team of professional athletes, known as the Gladiators. The application phase for both Gladiators and challengers is ongoing, with information available on www.rtl.de/bewerbungsaufrufe.
Prime members will be the first to see all episodes of 'Gladiators - The Show of the Giants' on Amazon Prime Video. Four weeks after their premiere on Amazon Prime Video, new episodes will air on RTL and be available on RTL+.
