The highly-anticipated film Superman is set to make its mark on the summer movie scene, with its release date confirmed for July 11, 2025. The latest instalment of the iconic superhero franchise promises an exciting journey, featuring a star-studded cast and thrilling action sequences.

In this new adaptation, Skyler Gisondo takes on the role of Jimmy Olsen, while Edi Gathegi portrays Mister Terrific. Nathan Fillion stars as Green Lantern Guy Gardner, Rachel Brosnahan plays the role of reporter and love interest Lois Lane, and María Gabriela de Faría stars as the Engineer. The film also introduces a new Superman, played by David Corenswet, and includes the lovable Krypto the Superdog as a character.

For those eager to catch the film at home, it will be available for streaming on Starz for subscribers and will premiere on Peacock due to a distribution deal. Digital purchase or rental options are also available on major platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, typically available from late August 2025. On Amazon Prime Video, the film can be bought for $29.99 or rented for $24.99 without requiring a Prime membership.

As a Warner Bros. production, Superman will eventually stream on HBO Max, a streaming service owned by WarnerMedia. The exact streaming date has not been set yet, but it is expected to be in early to mid-October 2025. Subscription plans for HBO Max start at $9.99 per month.

For those seeking a more affordable option, HBO Max Basic (with ads) can be obtained for approximately $99.99 annually, saving about 16% compared to a monthly plan. This plan is also included for free with an annual DashPass plan from DoorDash, Cricket's Supreme Unlimited phone plan, and as part of the Disney+ bundle deal, which includes Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max for $16.99 per month with ads, or $29.99 per month for an ad-free experience, saving up to 38% compared to purchasing each service separately.

College students can also benefit from a half-price deal on HBO Max Basic (with ads) with UNiDAYS verification. For physical media collectors, Blu-ray and DVD editions with bonus features will be released shortly after the digital launch.

In a twist of villainy, Nicholas Hoult portrays the evil villain Lex Luthor in the film. With an impressive cast, captivating storyline, and various streaming and purchase options, Superman is not to be missed.
