In the world of television, a new series is making waves – "Deli Boys". The show, which premiered on Hulu in March 2025, has already found its way onto other platforms, including Disney Plus, Hulu, FXNOW, and FXNOW's FXX livestream.
The series, produced by The Onyx Collective, follows the lives of brothers Raj and Mir, played by Saagar Shaikh and Asif Ali respectively. In the pilot episode, they discover their family's deli empire is actually a criminal front after their Baba's sudden death.
The cast is led by Poorna Jagannathan as "Lucky", a character who steals the show with her actions that are both messed up and awesome. Alfie Fuller plays "Prairie", and Brian George portrays "Ahmad".
In Episode 2, titled "Deadly Boys", Raj and Mir are portrayed as idiots and nepo babies as they search for half-dead Hamza in the Forgotten Bottom. Meanwhile, Lucky fights chauvinist Ahmad for Dark DarCo's throne. Agent Mercer faces challenges in trying to crack the FBI's boys' club.
The show is helmed by Michelle Nader as the showrunner, with Jenni Konner and Nora Silver developing the series. Nisha Ganatra serves as an executive producer and director on the pilot episode, along with Vali Chandrasekaran.
"Deli Boys" can be watched Wednesdays on FXNOW in the FXX livestream and on demand at FXNOW.FXNetworks.com. The series is available on Disney Plus, making it accessible to a wide audience. With its unique plot and engaging characters, "Deli Boys" is a must-watch for fans of comedy and drama.
