Autumn's first stormy weather in West Palatinate resulted in 16 incidents, causing around 25,000 euros in property damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all incidents were swiftly resolved.
The Polizeipräsidium Westpfalz, based in Kaiserslautern, led the response to the weather-related incidents. Fallen trees and signs disrupted traffic but were quickly cleared. In Callbach, a parked car was damaged by falling roof tiles, with repairs estimated in the five-digit range. On the A62 near Quirnbach, a driver lost control due to aquaplaning and collided with a guardrail.
