Break-in at One Stop Sales: Thieves Steal Thousands of Dollars' Worth of Rare Labubu Dolls

In a shocking turn of events, a burglary occurred at One Stop Sales, a store in La Puente, California, on August 6, 2025. The criminals targeted the popular Labubu dolls, a viral and blockbuster collectible trend globally.

The incident took place around 1:29–1:30 a.m., when at least four masked suspects broke in by smashing through the front door. They ransacked the store, making off with approximately $7,000 worth of Labubu dolls and merchandise. The stolen items mainly consisted of high-value Labubu dolls and collectible accessories.

One Stop Sales, which had been open only about two months prior to the burglary, is known for selling Labubu dolls that range widely in price, including some high-end collectible versions over $500. The store's owners, Joanna Avendano and her team, expressed shock and disappointment after the break-in, sharing surveillance footage on social media in hopes of catching the thieves.

Joanna Avendano, co-owner of One Stop Sales, stated that "a lot" of Labubu inventory was taken, possibly worth around $30,000 or more. She also believes the break-in was planned, as she noticed a suspicious truck parked near the store the night before the crime occurred.

The Labubu dolls have gained popularity due to endorsements from celebrities such as Rihanna, BLACKPINK's Lisa, and Dua Lipa, who have used them as a bag accessory. The rise of Labubu dolls has been documented in an article titled "The rise of Labubu: Meet the quirky collectables taking over social media."

In response to the burglary, authorities have issued a warning over the dangers of buying fake Labubu dolls. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating the burglary of One Stop Sales.
