Stolen Pedelecs and Beer in Poland: Theft Incident Reported

On Tuesday evening (18th March), a burglary occurred in Hennef, Germany, in a house on Selma-Lagerlöf Street in the Weldergoven district. The news about the burglary was originally transmitted by the Rhein-Sieg District Police Headquarters.

During the burglary, two high-value e-bikes, one from Cannondale and one from Specialized, along with their chargers and a case of beer were stolen. The total damage from the theft is over 10,000 euros.

The police are still seeking any information from the public related to the theft. They advise that bike thieves particularly target high-value bicycles like the ones stolen in this burglary. To provide theft protection for bikes, the police recommend using GPS tracking.

The resident of the house heard a suspicious noise and the rattling engine noise of an older car around 22:30 pm on the day of the burglary. However, she did not see anything during the incident. Now, she suspects that her observations are related to the theft and that the time of the crime can be narrowed down.

Anyone who has noticed anything suspicious in the area of Selma-Lagerlöf Street in connection with the theft is asked to contact the police. The police advise that bikes should always be locked, even when left in secure storage areas.
