Stet WSV: Youthful professionals, a hat, and a full meal plan
WSV Prepares for Tough Challenge Against League Leader in Paderborn
Wuppertaler SV (WSV) is gearing up for their next game, aiming to put their previous disappointing result behind them and focus on the upcoming fixture against the league leader in Paderborn.
The team's recent performance took a significant blow after a 5:1 defeat before the break, a result that coach Sebastian Tyrala acknowledges and takes responsibility for. Tyrala is now planning for the WSV team to recover and show a different face in the next game.
The league leader had a 0:0 draw on Wednesday against Lotte, indicating the tough task that awaits WSV. However, the promoted side from Siegen is causing a stir in the league and is yet to lose, adding to the challenge.
Gaetano Manno, the sporting director of WSV, criticized the "lack of body language" in the first 20 minutes of the previous game, and highlighted the "many young professionals" fielded by WSV. Manno believes that the return of Dominic Duncan and Jeff Fehr will give the team more options. Duncan, a key player for WSV who has recently recovered from an injury, is expected to return to the squad for the Paderborn game.
Levin Müller, another player for WSV, admitted that the team was outplayed by the opponents and couldn't get into the duels. Müller also mentioned that he gave away a silly penalty and the team needs to review everything to improve their performance.
Currently, WSV is 14th in the table with 7 points, but only due to a better goal difference against Wiedenbrück. The crowd for the next game is unlikely to be much bigger than the 1,242 fans who attended the game against Wiedenbrück.
Tyrala is urging the team not to worry about the previous game, but to focus on the upcoming game in Paderborn. The WSV doesn't want to end the second English week with another defeat. Despite the challenges, the team is determined to put up a better show and secure a better result in Paderborn.
