Stefan Mross Unyielding on Alcohol: "I Won't Abstain"

Stefan Mross maintains his commitment to drinking alcohol.

Get the latest scoop on Stefan Mross, the popular German TV host, as he stands firm on his drinking habits in the face of rumors.

Rumblings about Mross's alcohol use surfaced roughly two years ago, partially ignited by his former partner, Anna-Carina Woitschack. Despite these unfounded allegations, Mross continues to partake, though in a more restrained manner.

Mross presides over the ARD series, "Immer wieder sonntags." However, if the two-year-old rumors are to be believed, Mross may not have been pouring drinks exclusively for Sunday evenings.

The whispers of Mross's alcohol issues intensified when he abruptly canceled an Oktoberfest event last September. The reason for the cancelation was said to be a devastating incident at a wedding the previous night, where Mross was reported to have passed out.

}") claimed that I was carried out at the wedding is a despicable lie and a blatant deception!" he asserted, attributing the cancelation to scheduling conflicts rather than a drunken stumble.

Publicly, Mross's ex, Anna-Carina Woitschack, added fuel to the fire. "We've been urging him for years to seek professional help for his drinking problems," she proclaimed.

However, Mross has consistently refuted these allegations. "They're trying to pin an alcohol addiction on me that I don't possess," he flared in 2023.

In a recent interview with "SuperIllu," Mross spoke about his relationship with alcohol, among other topics. "I won't go teetotal," he declared, emphasizing, "Just because the media suggests I'm peering too deeply into my glass, it doesn't mean it's the truth."

Mross attributes his newfound moderation to his two-year relationship with Eva Luginger. "I no longer host raucous parties. We prefer to enjoy a peaceful dinner together, and I'll have a glass of wine," he revealed. In his words, he has nothing to feel guilty about. "Ultimately, I've never really crossed the line - even if there were a few breakups or wild parties along the way," stated Mross.

As Mross gears up for his double celebration this year - the 20th anniversary of his "Immer wieder sonntags" stint and his 50th birthday on November 26 - he can do so with a clear conscious.
