Stealth game Eriksholm displayed breathtaking visuals again in a fresh video.
Catch the Action Stealth games have been shaking things up the past couple of years, and it's a trend we can't get enough of! Developers River End Games are definitely on board, putting in what seems like a truckload of passion into their upcoming isometric, narrative-driven stealth-puzzle title, Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream.
Recently unveiled at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2025, the latest trailer offers a closer look at the game's intriguing world. And thanks to River End, we get a sneak peek into their development philosophy as well[4].
In Eriksholm, you'll find yourself in a dreamlike representations of early 1900s, where a pair of brash siblings squaring off with the authorities are pulled into a deeper mystery[1]. The city itself, echoing the Nordic cities of the time period, is as much a character as the people who inhabit it. Navigating the streets of this city will be essential in finding your missing brother.
We first crossed paths with Eriksholm during December's PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, when its striking visuals and high-brow TV-style cutscenes caught our eye[6]. But this new trailer gives us a more in-depth peek at the world we'll be diving into when it launches on July 15[1].
Gameplay will involve switching between three playable characters to tackle various situations and puzzles utilizing each character's unique abilities. The levels are peppered with lavishly lit and masterfully animated cutscenes to propel the story forward.
"We've played the game a zillion times, and what people usually say is it feels like I'm watching a movie, but in a fantastic way," said Anders Hejdenberg from River End Games during the Future Games Show segment[5]. "I'm super excited for players to discover this world."
Grab Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream on Steam, and it'll also make its debut on the Epic Games Store[5].
