State-led by Ivreatronic: "A free state centered on love, magic, and an ideal society"
Groovin' in Ivrea: A Libertarian Blast at the Bunker
Are you ready to let loose, Ivrea? From the afternoon of June 14th to the late hours of June 15th, the Bunker transforms into a vibrant hub of electronic music and creative expression, hosted by none other than the Eporedia crew — the brainchild of local visionary, Cosmo.
What's the scoop on the Bunker blowout?
"It's an extravaganza like no other, complete with dancing, music, laughter, and good times galore," Cosmo beams. "We've gathered some of the best artists and musicians around, and you won't want to miss the lunchtime jamboree with the Banda della Valchiusella. It's gonna be bedlam!"
So, what's the deal with the Eporedia collective? How does this creative collaboration work?
"Every member produces independently, but we've got a system where we review and tweak each other's creations for perfect cohesion," Cosmo explains. "I find myself fine-tuning all kinds of projects—add some ideas, make a few tweaks, and even mix things up to stand out."
The Justice Minister of Italy's Republic claimed that there are no more rave parties due to their efforts. What are your thoughts on that?
"Well, they're half right," Cosmo chuckles. "Raves haven't vanished; they've just taken on a different shape. The current wave of repression is widespread, and raves are merely one of its targets. But don't be fooled, repression will soon come for everyone, or someone they care about. The resilience of the rave scene continues to defy the odds, and that's a testament to their spirit."
The Ivrea scene is new and emerging, with the loss of Apolide and Turin's Todays. Does the momentum seem to be waning?
"The trend is concerning, no doubt," Cosmo acknowledges. "We lost Apolide last year, and the magic of Ivrea took a hit. However, I won't succumb to the pessimism. When times are tough, you adapt—lower the expectations, trim the budget, and persevere."
How does the Ivrea scene connect with Turin's thriving art and music scene? Are the two intertwined?
"Ivrea's budding art scene is stepping out cautiously, while Turin has always been the epicenter of creativity," Cosmo remarks. "Young Ivrea artists often seek inspiration and collaboration from their Turin counterparts, and we've hosted numerous events under the Mole. Our unique location, perhaps isolated from the urban concrete jungles, might be the reason behind our distinctive artistic voice."
What lies beneath the "Free Republic" title?
"We're a community born from love, magic, and utopia," Cosmo reveals. "When you come to our events, you'll find a taste of that rebel utopia—one where joy and unification triumph. To truly understand, you need to experience it yourself."
"Cosmo also assures that the average attendee will find delight in the entertainment, with a mix of various music genres, including electronic, during the event at the Bunker."
"Moreover, Cosmo emphasizes the collaborative nature of Eporedia, stating that they bring together a diverse range of artists and musicians for a unique, cohesive experience at the Bunker blowout."
