Stars from the Arrowverse and Game of Thrones spin-off Knight of the Seven Kingdoms to delve into the supernatural realm of The Further for the forthcoming horror sequel Insidious 6
In the realm of horror films, the sixth chapter of the Insidious series, titled Insidious: Legends of Tomorrow, is currently in production in Australia.
Directed by Jacob Chase, known for his work on Come Play, the movie sees the return of Lin Shaye as medium Elise Rainier. However, it seems that the Lambert family, a staple of the series, will not be featured in this upcoming installment.
Lin Shaye's character Elise has been a constant presence since the original Insidious in 2010, but her involvement in Insidious 6 remains unconfirmed. The connection to The Further, an alternate dimension filled with malevolent spirits, is being reignited in this new film.
The link to The Further isn't immediately apparent to Josh and Dalton, the protagonists of the series, in Insidious 6. Alongside Patrick Wilson and Ty Simpkins, who reprise their roles as Josh and Dalton respectively, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Sam Spruell, and Island Austin are venturing into The Further for this latest installment.
Maisie Richardson-Sellers, who has credits including The Originals, Jagged Mind, and Nine Perfect Strangers, joins the cast as a new character. Sam Spruell, best known for his role as Prince Maekar Targaryen in the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon, also features in the film.
David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who wrote the script for Insidious: Chapter 3 and the latest installment, Insidious 6, is at the helm once again. The shoot for Insidious 6: Legends of Tomorrow is currently underway in Australia.
In the previous film, Insidious 5, Josh and Dalton were tormented by terrifying visions as they tried to reconnect with their past and each other. With the return of Elise and the introduction of new characters, Insidious 6: Legends of Tomorrow promises to continue the series' chilling legacy.
