Star Wars: Visions to Make a Comeback in the Following Year
The animated anthology series Star Wars: Visions is set to return for a third volume next year, bringing together nine separate Japanese animation studios to create a unique and diverse collection of short stories set within the Star Wars universe.
The third volume will see the return of several studios that contributed to the first and second volumes, including Trigger, known for their work on "Kill la Kill" and "Promare", who will be working on two shorts in this new volume. Trigger has also made a name for themselves in the anime industry with their work on other projects such as Promare, Gridman, and Dynazenon, Kill La Kill, and more.
Kamikaze Douga, one of the studios involved in the first volume, will be back for the third volume as well. They are known for their work on "The Duel" in the first volume of Visions and Batman Ninja. Another returning studio is Production I.G, who worked on "The Ninth Jedi" in the first volume of Visions. They are also known for creating Ghost in the Shell.
New additions to the lineup include Wit Studio, known for Vinland Saga, Spy x Family, and early seasons of Attack on Titan. This will be their first time working on a Star Wars project. Project Studio Q, the CG house spun out of Hideaki Anno's Studio Khara, is another new addition to Star Wars: Visions.
Polygon Pictures, who previously worked on Clone Wars and Resistance, will also be joining the series. Kinema Citrus Co., a studio involved in the first volume, will be back for the third volume as well. They are known for creating Made in Abyss.
David Production, known for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Cells at Work!, is joining Star Wars: Visions for the first time. The third volume of Star Wars: Visions will feature episodes produced in various international locations, similar to the second volume.
The third volume of Star Wars: Visions will premiere on Disney+ in 2025, but no specific date has been given.
